In 1899, Henry Ward Ranger, a prominent New York artist, was traveling through Old Lyme and was struck by the bucolic landscape. He rented a room at a boardinghouse owned by Florence Griswold and then invited his friends to join him. This was the birth of the Lyme Art Colony, which became the most celebrated impressionist colony in America, lasting over three decades.

Today, we honor this heritage with our limited edition Artist Series labels, designed by local artists. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the wine is donated to a charity chosen by the artist. This is our way of giving back to our community.
